SYFY has opted not to renew the Superman prequel series Krypton after it completed its second season.

According to reports in Deadline and THR, the network has also nixed plans for an upcoming Lobo solo series on the network as well. Krypton was a breakout hit for SYFY when it premiered in 2018, but the second season of the series found its ratings fall by 50%.

Executive produced by David S Goyer and Cameron Welsh, the show and its potential spinoff are expected to start looking for a new home. With the first season of Krypton currently airing on DC Universe and the upcoming HBO Max streaming service, there is hope for the series to find a new home.
