The Rundown: Paprika finds herself in an awkward situation with her ex and makes a decision about her life.

After recovering in the hospital, Paprika’s father finds things are different with his work life and is forced to take a vacation. At the same time, Paprika finds herself trapped at an awkward gathering with her boss and her ex in the aftermath of a lucrative deal. Finally taking the time to talk to him, she decides that maybe he’s changed and maybe it’s time for her to give in to the feelings she’s been surpressing for years.

At the same time, Dill decides to take it upon himself to “rescue” Paprika from the situation and that requires him going to his father for help. Instead of needing help, Paprika finds herself getting close to Za’Atar. Unfortunately, the voice of her father in her head continues to be an unwelcome one and after leaving alone, she drunkenly runs into Dill and decides to risk it all to feel something. After another regretful evening, Paprika awakens to a shocking revelation about her father.

The Story: Paprika’s complicated life continues be a source of both amusement and entertainment. Andolfo crafts a rich and engaging story filled with humor and heart. Paprika is an interesting character and the themes of the story have a broad appeal that connect with the reader. The interactions between the characters is entertaining as well and I am immersed in both this world and its characters.

The Art: Andolfo delivers some beautiful art throughout the issue. The details in both the characters and the environments are stunning.
