The Rundown: Space Ghost takes on the Toy Maker while the kids meet someone from their past.

A villain known as the Toymaker has taken over the planet Playtopia Prime and has several hostages he is using to force Space Ghost into a fight to the death. Space Ghost is fighting with only Blip at his side as the two attempt to stop killer rides from taking out the hostages. Hostages that are revealed to also be killer robots. Space Ghost and Blip find themselves in a deadly game and a race against time to find the real hostages and stop Toymaker who has an ominous warning for the hero.
At the same time, Jan and Jace sit down for a meeting with the man claiming to be their grandfather. A man who tells them of his estranged relationship with their mother and why he never came looking for them until circumstances brought them to his attention. As the three talk, he learns just how special the man known as Dax has been and how he has helped them find purpose in their lives.
The Story: Pepose crafts a thrilling adventure in this issue. The story starts with some bombastic action before switching the focus back to the characters, their circumstances and individual conflicts. Splitting the story between the action of Space Ghost and the family drama with Jan and Jace is a great decision. Both sides of the story have great dramatic flair and the Jan/Jace story has a great cliffhanger that promises more drama to come.
The Art: Lau delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. The visuals are bright, vibrant and stunning in both the action and personal drama.
