The Rundown: Wanda takes on her mentor who has been sent to take her place as Sorcerer Supreme.

The Vishanti bring Agatha Harkness before them to tell her that she is required to stop Wanda. Agatha agrees to fulfill an oath she made, but she will not kill her. Something the Vishanti agree to humble the new Sorcerer Supreme. Agatha attacks Wanda and almost brings her down before she manages to find a way to bring the battle to a draw as Bats goes looking for Wong for help.

In the aftermath, Wanda goes to Cthon for counsel and remembers the deal she made with the demon to secure his help. Agatha infiltrates the Sanctum Sanctorum and attacks Wong before Wanda pulls her into another realm to continue their battle. Agatha manages to get the upper hand and decides on a new punishment for her former student.

The Story: Orlando builds on the momentum of the first issue with great action and thrills in this issue. I love the dynamic between Wanda and Agatha and their dialogue is fantastic. I really love Wanda’s personality in this series and there is a sense that she knows more than what she lets on to the ones who stand against her. The issue has some thrilling moments throughout the ends with a fantastic cliffhanger that makes me excited to see what happens next.

The Art: Chang creates beautifully detailed and visually thrilling art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of the magic a lot and how dangerously beautiful it looks.
