In the midst of the pandemic, Malcolm Dragon and family are staying home and dealing with not only their domestic issues, but family issues that have cropped up as a result of Maxine’s mother internet discretion.

As the hero tries to keep in touch with his friends and keep up to date with what’s happening around him, he and Maxine look for some time alone while they’re stuck in the apartment with the kids. When the Vicious Circle attacks, the Dragon family springs into action right before Malcolm gets an unexpected visitor.

The Story: The main story is really fun. There are some great moments between Malcolm and Maxine and the extended world that they live in mirrors the frustration that many of us are dealing with staying at home and trying to flatten the curve. Larsen handles the uncertainty in a way that is charming and fun with a great battle scene at the end that showcases Malcolm as a badass. The rest of the stories in the issue have some fun moments as well, but they don’t have the impact of the main story.

The Art: Larsen does some great work with the art. Everything in the main story is visually fun and exciting. The rest of the stories are hit or miss as far as the art style goes, but they work for the tone of the stories they are trying to tell.
