The search for the next actor to take the cape and cowl of the Dark Knight is over.

According to an exclusive in Variety, Warner Brothers has cast 33 year old Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman in Matt Reeves upcoming ‘The Batman’. Variety says that the actor is in final negotiations to take the role with Warner Brothers seeing the Twilight star as their top choice.

Matt Reeves is writing and directing the upcoming superhero film for Warner Brothers which is expected to hit theaters July 25, 2021. Production is set to begin this summer.
