The Rundown: Jennifer must take on the man she loves to defend the resistance leader.

Jennifer thinks back to her relationship with Jack of Hearts as he is actively trying to kill her under the command of Korven and Rowan who have brought in the mind wiped Jack for the sole purpose of ending the threat of She-Hulk and allowing Korven to solidify his claim to the throne of Sakaar. Jennifer survives the attack, but retreats to the mountains to vent her rage and create a plan.
After meeting with the prisoner Quade, Jennifer is convinced that he is not the one who killed Korven’s wife and prepares to take on Jack in the arena to defend Quade. As the two battle again, Jennifer uses what she knows about Jack to end the battle, but it might be too late for Quade as Jennifer is betrayed by someone she trusted.
The Story: Phillips crafts a dark, thrilling and entertaining story in this issue. I love the personal connection to Jennifer in the plot and how it makes the story more compelling for her. I really enjoyed the buildup of tension and suspense throughout the story as how all of the elements culminate into not only a great moment of action but also a great twist at the end I was not expecting.
The Art: Laiso delivers stunning art throughout the story. I love how the art captures the tone and mood of the story perfectly in its character designs and expressions.
