The Rundown: Fallows tries to warn the diners about what’s coming as danger gets closer.

Fallows makes his way to the diner and is trying to warn the patrons about the dangerous creatures coming their way. Unfortunately, he does not get the reaction he was hoping for and he finds himself having to explain who he is, where he came from and what happened at the base.
As he explains what happened, one of the patrons is making her way back when she runs head first into danger. A danger that will transform her in real time and be the inspiration the diner needs to get ready for what comes next.
The Story: Condon delivers an intense, entertaining and interesting story in this issue. I love the buildup of tension and suspense throughout the story as well as the world building involved. The story has layers of tension, terror and humor throughout and all of them are balanced well to deliver a story that is engaging while ending on a cliffhanger that will definitely bring me back.
The Art: Jeffrey Alan Love delivers beautiful, minimalist art throughout the issue. I love the style of this issue and how it tells the story visually through shadows and shades.
