The Rundown: Newburn lands himself in prison and befriends an inmate who has some interesting knowledge.

Salvatore Russo is getting a new cell mate. One with a big name and a lot of enemies. When he’s introduced to Easton Newburn, Sal finds that his new cellmate might not have the protection of the gangs anymore, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t without resources. Resources that mean a lot when the only thing you have to trade is knowledge.

Unfortunately, Newburn’s time on the outside has made him some enemies. Enemies who want him dead and Sal will have to trade in a favor to keep the man alive. To make things worse, Sal’s knowledge might be exactly what Newburn needs.

The Story: Zdarsky crafts an intense and entertaining story in this issue. The plot takes some surprising and compelling twists as the story unfolds and I loved being surprised by everything that happened both in the plot and with the characters. I continue to love the world of this series and how clever the writing is.

The Art: Phillips delivers some great art in this issue. The story has some wonderful, emotive characters and the visuals do a brilliant job of capturing the mood and tone of the story.
