The pic that was released on Twitter shows Mamoa on what looks like a submarine confronting an Atlantean soldier. Though there are no plot details for the film that have been released, so the meaning of this picture can only be speculated. Could the Atlanteans be stealing nuclear warheads from the sub to start a war with the surface?
The film is slated to place Aquaman (Mamoa) in the middle of a war between the surface and a rebelling Atlantean army. Whether Patrick Wilson’s Ocean Master or Yahya Abdul-Mateen II Black Manta is responsible for the attack is unknown.
Aquaman is slated for release December 21, 2018.
