Visitors and guests to Disney theme parks are that much closer to experiencing new adventures in a galaxy far, far away.

According to new images and news from Disney Parks Blog, the new Star Wars themed resort is coming to both Walt Disney World Florida and Disneyland in California in 2019 and they will offer an immersive experience to guests. Both resorts will allow guests to visit a new remote post in the Star Wars universe. The post will feature attractions that put guests right in the middle of the conflict between the Resistance and the First Order as they immerse themselves in the Star Wars universe.

Guests will be able to fly the Millenium Falcon into battle on a mission that will require you to fly the ship, use its blasters and take to hyperspace.  If the mission goes well, you could earn credits. If it doesn’t, you might find yourself on Bounty Hunter Harkos’ list and that might cause you some difficulty the next time you visit the local cantina.

You can also find yourself on the hangar deck of a Star Destroyer encountering Storm Troopers as you see familiar faces throughout the resort including BB-8, Chewbacca and more.

“This first-of-its-kind resort will combine luxury with complete immersion into an authentic Star Wars story. Guests’ journey through space will start when everyone departs together for a multiday Stars Wars adventure by boarding a starship alive with characters and stories that unfold all around them during a voyage through the galaxy. At the resort, guests immediately become active citizens of the galaxy and can dress up in the proper attire. Every resort window will also have a view into space. The opportunity for immersion at this resort will also stand out among all Disney resorts around the globe, as it will be seamlessly connected to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, allowing guests a total Star Wars experience.”
