Deron GenerallyNatalie Portman stars in the trippy sci-fi thriller Annihilation from the director of the critically acclaimed Ex Machina.
Based on the best-selling novel by Jeff VanderMeer, Portman plays a biologist who is brought in with another group to investigate a strange barrier that similar teams have unsuccessfully explored. The Biologist’s husband was a member of the previous expedition and came back different. While investigating the barrier, the expedition encounters strange creatures and an even deeper mystery that surrounds them.
Annihilation also stars Oscar Issac (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight), Tessa Thompson (Thor: Ragnarok) and Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin). The film is written and directed by Alex Garland (Ex Machina).
Annihilation is expected to be released in theaters this February.
