The Rundown: A cryptid and his girlfriend traffic moonshine in the south while they run from the cops and bigger threats.

After a devastating fire, an infant Bigfoot is discovered by a rural couple who raises him in the backwoods of Georgia. After growing up, he travels those same back woods in his souped up muscle car with his hippie girlfriend Amethyst and a trunk full of moonshine being chased by the local sheriff who is determined to bring him down.

As the Moonshine Bigfoot makes his way through the area, he decides to have a little fun with the sheriff by calling in the local Bigfoot hunters and a rival moonshiner to make the chase interesting. What he doesn’t know is that there is a mysterious van in the area with a shadowy individual using the area to test his own cryptid until he gets a glimpse of a real life bigfoot speeding through the woods.

The Story: A fun, funny action filled mix of Dukes of Hazard and Smokey and the Bandit. Marlow crafts a fun and funny story filled with interesting characters and a premise that made me laugh out loud. I also really enjoyed the B story of the Chupacabra roaming the woods after breaking free. This is an insanely original and entertaining story and I cannot wait to see where it takes me next.

The Art: Ellis delivers some fantastic art in the issue. The story has a wonderful setting and Ellis takes advantage of that by making some truly surreal and stunning visuals to match the insane energy of the story.
