The Rundown: Miles tries to have a fun day in the park, but Spider-Man is forced to intervene.

Miles is finally having some down time and his parents decide to leave the baby with him and Shift. After meeting with Kamala and Ganke at a local art show, the friends finally have some time to catch up and relax. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last long when an art thief decides to crash the event.

Miles and Kamala leap into action to take out the bad guy and try to salvage the rest of their day. At the same time, a former associate finds herself witnessing the coming darkness and realizes that she might have a connection to the event that is bringing armies of vampires to the city.

The Story: Ziglar creates an entertaining prelude for Miles in this issue. It gives great character moments that remind the reader what’s interesting and unique about the character. I like the family dynamics at play and continue to enjoy seeing Miles being in the world before having to defend it. The story also has a wonderful lead in to the Blood Hunt storyline.

The Art: Vicentini delivers wonderful visuals throughout the issue. The action was beautifully detailed and visually thrilling.
