Deron GenerallyNetflix and Skydance Media are partnering on a new film from the writers of the recently released Deadpool 2.
Based on an original idea from writers and executive producers of Deadpool and Deadpool 2 Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, Six Underground will be directed by Michael Bay (Transformers) and star Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool 2).
There are no details on the plot so far, but Michael Bay is one of the most prolific action movie directors in the industry, so an action film is not beyond the realm of possibility.
The film, produced by Skydance Media and Netflix, is targeting a summer start of production for worldwide release in 2019 on Netflix.
This marks the first collaboration between Skydance Media and Netflix for an event level feature film and the first Netflix project for both Michael Bay and Ryan Reynolds.
