Deron GenerallySony has added a new member to the cast of their upcoming Marvel Comics film based on Morbius the Living Vampire.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Matt Smith has been added to the cast of Morbius in an undisclosed role. Jared Leto (Suicide Squad) has been cast in the lead role of Michael Morbius, a scientist whose experiments to cure his rare blood disease cause him to become a living vampire.
Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama wrote the script for the film which will be directed by Daniel Espinosa.
Matt Smith is known for his roles in the BBC series Doctor Who as well as the Netflix series The Crown. Smith can next be seen in the currently untitled Star Wars Episode IX.
