According to multiple reports from Screen Rant and others, the series has completed filming its first season. The series is about two teens from different backgrounds dealing with the fact that they have superpowers that they can barely control. They find that they are better able to control their powers when they are together, but the fact that they have romantic feelings for each other complicates matters in more ways than one.

The series is expected to run on Freeform sometime in 2018, but no official premiere date has been released. The series stars Aubrey Joseph as Tyrone Johnson/Cloak, Olivia Holt as Tandy/Dagger, Andrea Roth as Tandy’s mother Melissa, Gloria Reuben as Tyrone’s mother Adina, Miles Mussenden as Tyrone’s father Michael, Carl Lundstedt as Tandy’s criminal partner and boyfriend Liam and James Saito as Tyrone’s friend Bernard.
