The Rundown: To protect a human, one of the vampire children will have to reveal the truth.

The children have been split into factions with Billy leading a group filled with blood lust looking for the human in their midst. The other side is Lucas and the others who are protecting the young human. While the two sides battle, they remember back to when they were a family. The ay also remember how their memories have begun to fade over time.

While one group chases after Yui to find the human, Romie steps in to both protect the girl and her friends. A move that will show a power none of them believed she had as well as reveal what she knows about the ones who led them to the city and have made them stay.

The Story: Lemire crafts a brilliant, engaging and tension filled world in this issue. I love the story and its characters a lot and they are so complicated and layered that I feel for them as a group and their struggles. I love seeing the division within the group and the drama it creates as well as the final reveal at the end that changes everything.

The Art: Nguyen delivers some beautifully detailed and stylish art that perfectly sets the mood for the issue and showcases the tone and tension of the story.
