Streaming service Hulu is adapting Erik Larson’s 2003 bestselling novel.

According to Deadline, Keanu Reeves is in talks to star in the upcoming adaptation of The Devil in the White City for Hulu. It will be his first major US television role. Hulu is developing the novel as a big budget series with Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese executive producing alongside Castle Rock creator Sam Shaw. Little Children director Todd Field will direct the first two episodes of the limited series.

The Devil in the White City takes place during the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair and links the stories of architect Daniel H. Burnham and serial killer Henry H. Holmes who turned his home into a house of horrors where he tortured and killed multiple women. It is unclear which role Reeves is being considered for.

Keanu Reeves can currently be seen in The Matrix Resurrections in theaters and HBO Max. His next big screen role will be in John Wick: Chapter 4 coming this year.
