The Rundown: The seniors try to escape the military with their alien friend.

After stealing a boat, the remaining seniors and the alien they’ve named Jones are on the high seas trying to find a way to return the creature to its mother. Unfortunately, Greer and the rest of the military on their trail and they are not subtle about it as they pepper the boat with bullets.
Eventually, the boat comes to a stop as CeeCee connects with the injured creature and more seniors die as Greer climbs aboard to take control of the creature. A move that will have consequences for him when CeeCee decides to call the creature’s mother for help.
The Story: I had high hopes for the finale of this story with all the action and thrills that the previous issues created. Unfortunately, the story fizzled out right at the finish line. It had some great moments of tension, but it didn’t stick the landing with any of the characters. There’s some great over the top action throughout the finale, but the ending was predictable and caused the senior’s stories and conflicts to be pushed aside for spectacle.
The Art: Vendrell creates some great visual moments and those visual moments pretty much make up the entirety of the issue.
