The Rundown: Harley is dealing with a lot and Lex Luthor’s incessant offers are not making things better for the bad girl trying to do good.

Harley is in the hospital sitting with her mother and trying to find a way to help her deal with her cancer diagnosis. She hopes that surrounding the comatose woman with friends and family will help her wake up and in the meantime, she’s decided to read her latest comic book adventure to her mother.

Her new adventure will have Harley rejecting Lex’s offers and finding out that the only way she can escape from him is by invading other upcoming DC Comics events including Event Leviathan and Justice League Dark. As Harley does her best to avoid Lex and his offers, her friends and family arrive to sit with her ailing mother. Unfortunately, when a dark visitor arrives, Harley may have to take Luthor’s offer seriously if there is a chance to save her mother’s life.

The Story: Sam Humphries takes aim at the upcoming events coming to DC Comics and he decides to lovingly take a little air out of them using Harley Quinn. It’s a fun and funny issue that balances the serious and the comical really well. The dialogue is great and the plot works across the board. I really enjoyed the twists and turns this issue took and just how much fun it is. I especially enjoyed the fact that it brings the story home with a really tense conclusion.

The Art: Sami Basri has some great art both in the comic and the story within the story. The art is filled with vibrance, fun and energy.
