The Rundown: Batman and Peacekeeper Red must work together in order to survive. A thief is tracked by someone surprising.

The Bat Family search for clues to Batman’s whereabouts and find something shocking. Meanwhile, Batman and Peacekeeper Red battle the freed inmates of Arkham Asylum. There, they are met by Astrid Arkham. Later, the trio are confronted by an unexpected foe. Finally, they find themselves in a compromising situation. Elsewhere, Harley Quinn reacts to an enemy’s startling actions.

In the B Story, a masked thief runs through the alley ways with their loot. Then, they have a confrontation with an unexpected foe. Later, Batman gets involved.

The Story: Williamson and Culver do an amazing job expanding the series’ narrative in this action packed and intriguing chapter. I really enjoyed all the drama and surprises. And I was excited by the appearance of several villains. I am definitely looking forward to the next issue.

Punchline
I really love how this story is told only through illustration. Its both exciting and amusing. And it felt very nostalgic. I would love to see more of this type of comic styling.

The Art: This issue uses a modern comic style and forgoes color. Adopting, instead, and black and white technique. The action sequences are really well done, and transportive.
