According to the EW article, the new film will follow the crypto-zoological agency Monarch (introduced in the first Godzilla movie). The organization will face off against Godzilla as well as other giant creatures including Mothra, Rodan and King Ghidorah. Michael Dougherty takes over directing the film from a script he co-wrote with Zach Shields.

Dougherty talked about the world post Godzilla’s emergence and how that world informs the plot. “The world is reacting to Godzilla in the same way we would react to any other terrifying incident, in that we are overreacting,” Dougherty says. “There’s paranoia and endless speculation about whether he is the only one out there or whether we’re threatened by others like his kind.”

The first pic showcases Godzilla showing his power. It’s unknown whether he’s just showing off or targeting a flying threat like Rodan or Mothra.

The next pic shows Vera Farmiga and Millie Bobby Brown looking at something huge. It’s been suggested that Farmiga’s character might possess the ability to control monsters. It will be interesting to see how that works.

The next picture shows some kind of device. Could it be a depiction of one of the bombs that mutated the creatures in the first place? Or could it be the means of defeating them?

The final image seems to come from the Monarch files and they seem to indicate a depiction of Mothra.
