The Rundown: The outsiders will have to sacrifice paradise in order to save one of their own.

Elsie and the other outsiders learn what happened in the days leading up to Pet City being closed and the other cats left behind. They also learned what happened when the food supply began to dwindle and what Mother did to maintain her followers before the assembled cats gather to see what punishment Lorde will endure after discovering their dark secret.
After receiving a sentence of death, Elsie and the others work on a way to free him and escape the store. Unfortunately, their escape plan is exposed and the only way they might have a fighting chance is by doing the unthinkable. An act that will turn their salvation into a potential slaughter.
The Story: Fleecs creates a tension filled nightmare in this issue. I love the horror movie elements of this story arc and how the isolated environment adds to the tension and suspense. The story has some great reveals as it builds to a dark and brilliantly conceived cliffhanger ending that makes me excited for the next issue.
The Art: Forstner and Rodriguez deliver beautiful art throughout the issue. The art brilliantly draws on the sense of isolation and enhances the terror of the story.
