The Rundown: Domino may have to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to save her team and the world.

Faced with a grieving Geun imbued with the powers of the Celestial, Domino and company find themselves on the receiving end of her wrath. Widow advises Neena to use her powers to try and tip the scales of the fight for her, but avoiding death seems to be the best they can do before an unexpected guest arrives.

With Geun’s power growing and her thirst for revenge following suit, Domino will have to tap into untold power if she is going to stop the final judgement of a new god. But will the power she’s using corrupt her the same way it did another mutant?

The Story: Gail Simone ends this story with the mixture of humor and heart that this series has excelled at from the first issue. Even with the stakes being raised as high as they could be, the story still finds time to have fun with the characters and their circumstances. It’s a testament to the writing that this series has been so strong and that this final issue makes you want more from both the characters and the creative team behind them. I’m going to miss this crew and I hope to read more of their adventures in the future.

The Art: David Baldeon and Michael Shelfer deliver amazing art throughout this issue. The characters look amazing. The action is kinetic and beautifully detailed. Everything from the facial expressions to the panel layouts complements this story perfectly.
