The Rundown: Wong and Pandora Peters investigate a rash of murders of powerful magical enemies.

Wong has joined the new version of WAND alongside Pandora Peters and Doctor Zee and the three of them find themselves taking on a growing number of violent, supernatural incidents around the world. As they fight these dark magical forces, it becomes clear that something is very wrong.

After discovering an entity she trapped in her old WAND days has been murdered, Peters and Wong go looking for the rest of the beings WAND has dealt with and finds many of them killed in the same fashion. A string of murders that Peters believes can be linked to one suspect. Someone close to Wong and Doctor Strange.

The Story: Telling the story from Wong and Pandora Peters perspective is a great way to broaden the scope of the mystery in the series while developing the characters within it. The story is filled with great action and some dark humor that I really enjoyed. I enjoyed the progression of the mystery and how it shows the tension between Wong and Peters as they clash in ideologies while Peters works on her theory. It will be interesting to see what happens when she presents it to the suspect.

The Art: Macdonald delivers some impressive, fun and beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. The location changes are beautiful and help showcase the scope of WAND’s mission.
