Deron GenerallyTom Hanks’ David S. Pumpkins sketch has taken on a life of its own since debuting on Saturday Night Live last year.
Just in time for Halloween, Hanks returns as Pumpkins in a new animated Halloween special. SNL and NBC released a new clip from the special featuring Pumpkins and a couple of kids. After finding the “magic pumpkin”, an elevator shoots up from the ground and out steps David S. Pumpkins to tell the kids how lucky they are. Unfortunately, the kids have no idea who David Pumpkins is and proceed to ask him several questions in that regard. Check out the clip below and let me know what you think.
The David S. Pumpkins Animated Halloween Special features the voices of Tom Hanks, Bobby Moynihan, Mikey Day, Spencer Moss, Lexi Underwood and Peter Dinklage. It will premiere Saturday October 28th at 11:30/10:30pm central on NBC.
