David Arquette starred in four of the Scream films as deputy Dewey Riley. The heroic, but not very effective sheriff deputy managed to survive the films along with series star Neve Campbell, who is also rumored to be returning.

Arquette released a statement saying; “I am thrilled to be playing Dewey again and to reunite with my Scream family, old and new,” Arquette said. “Scream has been such a big part of my life, and for both the fans and myself, I look forward to honoring Wes Craven’s legacy.”
