The Rundown: Cable makes a desperate attempt to stop Cicada and protect the timeline.

Cable discovers too late that his attempts to rescue Avery from her fate inadvertently create his nemesis Cicada and she has not only co-opted his technology, but also has a new mission. She decides that she is going to stop Cable once and for all by killing him in the past.
Cable follows her through the timeline in an attempt to stop her by reasoning with her, but their travels disrupt the timeline to dangerous proportions. Cicada decides to go back and kill Cable once and for all, but the present Cable arrives to stop her and discovers his younger self might be a bigger threat than Cicada.
The Story: Pepose brings this story to a dark, tragic and thrilling conclusion. It’s filled with great action and emotion as Cable chases someone he cares about while also dealing with the reality of his hand in the creation of his own enemy. The story ramps up the action throughout and everything comes together brilliantly in the end with some intense and unexpected twists that I enjoyed both for the character and for the world of the story.
The Art: Hawthorne delivers beautifully detailed and visually powerful art throughout the issue. There are wonderful visual moments for Cable and Avery and I love the visual style of the final moments of the character.
