The Rundown: Slade and his fellowship make their way through the lawn while the Squirrel King calls for Slade to come to him.

Slade continues to be harried by flying threats as his ally Doolie is gravely wounded defending him. After using some of the power of the amulet to fix him, Slade finds himself in a vision being contacted by the Squirrel King who not only seems to have his own connection to the power of the amulet, but was also a human with a connection to Slade’s father.
Zsofi is trying to rescue her brother from a crazed raccoon with a screwdriver in its head and Tyko discovers something buried within the creature that will give him a power he cannot understand. As the party moves on through the backyard, they discover their sanctuary has been attacked and there is another threat beneath their feet.
The Story: Aaron crafts a dark, thrilling story filled with great action and surprises. I continue to enjoy the world Aaron is building in this series and the lore that is being developed within it. The action is intense and I love seeing Slade embrace the world and the powers within himself. I also love seeing that the lore extends beyond Slade to others with what happens to Tyko. There is some great tension throughout the story and I look forward to seeing where it takes me next.
The Art: Asrar crafts some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and the visceral nature of the action.
