The Rundown: Felicia Hardy wields raw power and gets tempted to keep it.

In order to free Doctor Strange from Knull, Black Cat has taken on raw Asgardian power. As she and her team face down Knull’s forces, there is another battle raging. A battle raging within her as the power she holds takes the form of her father to tempt her to not only keep the power she has, but to use it get everything she has ever wanted.

As the battles wage both in reality and in the mind of Felicia Hardy, Doctor Strange wakes up and realizes the scope of what is happening. Unfortunately, there is little the doctor can do because the choice for what comes next for Black Cat is in her hands.

The Story: Jed McKay delivers a great story in this issue. Not only is there awesome action and humor, but there is a great emotional core to the story that speaks to the character and her long journey. No only does the story recap Felicia’s darkest moments, but it also highlights what makes her a unique character, especially when she makes her final decision. I can’t wait to see where this story goes next.

The Art: C.F. Villa delivers some beautiful artwork throughout this issue. The characters look amazing and there are some great details in every panel.
