The Rundown: The truth is revealed, but Samantha Strong is ready.

Life continues on as normal in Woodbrook while Samantha and Monica make their way out of the town and into the woods nearby following the map she stole. As they find themselves in the middle of a construction area near Samantha’s dumping ground, Monica uses a metal detector to discover the burial site.

Digging up a series of paint cans that hold the remains of Samantha’s victims, Monica makes a discovery on the map that reveals Samantha as the killer. Stealing a truck to escape, Samantha follows but an accident on the road will not only let Monica escape, but also expose Samantha to the town and the law. A confrontation follows that will shatter Samantha’s only safe space and possibly bring down the entire town.

The Story: Horvath crafts a thrilling, engaging and suspenseful story in this issue. The suspense is palpable as Monica and Samantha travel together and people in the town connected to events try to move forward. I love how unexpected every moment between Monica and Samantha becomes and how events unfold to leave Samantha in an unexpected and surprising place at the end of the issue. I am excited to see where this story goes next.

The Art: Horvath creates some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. Things come to a head by the end of the issue and the imagery absolutely captures the danger of the moment.
