The clash between Batman and Flash continues as the stakes get higher.

Gotham Girl’s attack on the Flash Museum was just the beginning and as the Dark Knight and the Scarlet Speedster deal with an army of clones, their personal animus threatens to derail any chance of victory.

BM-65-3

At the same time, Gotham Girl is rewriting her own hero story in hopes to go out in a blaze of heroic glory. Unfortunately, her twisted desire will take her on a course to Central City and put Iris in her crosshairs.

When Flash ends the fight and speeds to Central City to protect Iris, Gotham Girl reveals that her brother is still alive. A revelation that will have tragic consequences as Batman races to the scene for backup.

Joshua Williamson is truly pushing the limits in this story. All of the dramatic tension is coming to a head. The dialogue is amazing as Batman and Flash clash about Sanctuary and their shared guilt over the massacre. Gotham Girl’s continued descent into madness is compelling to see and the mystery that connects them all is one that I am interested in following to the end.

Guillen March’s art is perfect for this issue. It’s filled with drama and beauty both in the character moments and the action. This is a visually dynamic, detailed and stunning issue.
