The Rundown: Lex’s chickens come home to roost and Batman goes after Abyss.

Years ago in Metropolis, Lex Luthor watches Bruce Wayne give a press conference about the creation of Batman Incorporated. Seeing an opportunity, Lex decides to get involved. Years later, his involvement comes back to bite him as he and Batman find themselves facing off not just against Abyss, but Batman Incorporated as well. With Batman blinded by Abyss, Bruce and Lex will have their hands full not only with the members of Batman Incorporated, but also with the military and police of Badhnisia as well.

After a series of unexpected reveals, Batman learns of Luthor’s plan and goes after Abyss himself. After dealing with the problem in Badhnisia, Batman heads back to Gotham as Cayha investigates the scope of Luthor’s operation, Ghost-Maker is called in for a favor and another player emerges with plans for Batman.

The Story: Williamson brings this arc to a satisfying conclusion with some interesting setup for Batman and his allies. The surprises in the story are done really well and they do a great job of reminding the reader why these characters are interesting on their own. The mystery elements were done well and hopefully lead to some more intriguing stories to come.

The Art: Jorge Molina and Mikel Janin deliver some exciting visuals in this issue. The fights were visually thrilling and the action was engaging.
