The Rundown: Sara goes undercover to learn the truth about her father.

Sara is under attack by the Magdelena and decides to use the key her father had to remove them both from the battlefield and take them back to the halls beneath the Vatican where she discovers more warriors and their leader, Zadokite.
Instead of taking down the man who killed her father, Sara decides to play along and offers to serve the order as another warrior. She spends time training with the others and begins to find a peace she hadn’t had before confronting Zadokite to learn more about her father. He tells her the brutal truth before showing her something dark and hidden from the world that will challenge Sara’s mission.
The Story: Bennett creates a thrilling, entertaining story in this issue. The story does a great job of showcasing Sara as an effective detective and officer as she leans into her undercover role to learn the truth. I really enjoyed the reveals throughout the story and how they are taking a personal toll on Sara. It’s going to be interesting to see what the final reveal means for her mission to avenge her father and if that is enough.
The Art: Cafaro creates some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I really love the use of camera angles to convey emotion as well as the character designs.
