The Rundown: A reporter gets closer to the truth as Basil Karlo gets another clue.

Basil Karlo has granted an interview with a reporter who has some pointed questions about the actor and the women who have gone missing in his orbit. At the same time, the real Basil is meeting with a scientist and discovers some of the many victims of the treatment using his DNA to maim and deform others. At the same time, he goes through the other Clayface’s to determine who is impersonating him to the public.
After having a tense confrontation with the reporter, the fake Basil storms off and the reporter uses his skills to find the location where Basil is hiding his latest victim. When the real Basil gets a message to meet someone who might have answers, he is ambushed by a familiar face who reveals who the killer Clayface really is while the reporter discovers the same thing too late.
The Story: Jude Ellison S. Doyle continues to craft a thrilling, entertaining mystery in this issue. I liked the inclusion of other Clayface’s into the mystery and how Basil is forced to confront their crimes as well as his own. I really enjoyed the buildup in suspense and terror and cannot wait to see where the story goes next as I eagerly anticipate the confrontation between these two Clayface’s and what it will mean.
The Art: Galan creates some beautifully detailed and visually engaging art throughout the issue. I really love the character designs and the dark visual tone of the story. There are some beautiful, scary moments throughout the issue.
