The Rundown: Mayhem attempts to kidnap Scott Trakker and get more than he bargained for.

Matt Trakker is still in New Orleans trying to determine why Mayhem and VENOM sent a mechanic to die in the streets. As he determines that the man was being used as a distraction, he realizes that the real target it his son Scott. When Mayhem attempts to lure Scott to his chopper, he realizes too late just how smart the kid is.

After Scott manages to escape from Mayhem and his minions, he and his robot go deeper into the woods as Matt heads back to base and enlists Gloria to go find the boy. As he speeds back to base, Scott gets the drop on one of his pursuers and Matt’s biggest fear begins to play out as the boy must decide whether or not he will become a killer.

The Story: Watters crafts a thrilling, entertaining story in this issue. I continue to enjoy the tension between Trakker and the members of his team and I really enjoyed the revelations about Scott throughout the story as he shows that he has agency of his own. There are some great surprises throughout the issue and I love the suspense of the story. I cannot wait to see where it goes next.

The Art: Parr creates some beautifully detailed and visually exciting images throughout the issue. I love the character moments a lot and how detailed and emotional they get.
