The Rundown: Orpheus learns a valuable secret while the young human finds a means of escape.

Orpheus and her minions find a group of Mannegishi hiding humans and quickly disposes of them before she takes one of the Mannegishi for interrogation. At the same time, Romero fumes that his weapon is not working on Orpheus and the humans he’s smuggling have been found. When Orpheus discovers where more humans are being help, she heads back to the city.
Meanwhile, the young human being protected by Virago manages to escape his den, but is cornered by three monsters. Surprisingly, the human goes on the attack and takes them down as Virago intercepts them. A move that will expose his protection to a spy and force them to go on the run.
The Story: Dastmalchian and Kilpatrick continue to deliver thrills, chills and insanely engaging lore in this issue. Not only do I love seeing the myriad of monsters that inhabit this world, but their scheming, interpersonal conflicts and politics are compelling. I really love the buildup of the escape and what happened in the aftermath and I cannot wait to see where this story goes next.
The Art: Lee creates some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I love the imagery and character designs a lot.
