The Rundown: Violet discovers a new gift while David looks for an escape.

David has survived on the other side of the wall overnight and the leader of Pleasanton gives him the choice to become part of their community. Unfortunately, his new position puts him in more danger and he decides that he needs to escape to find his daughter. A move that will come with a violent escape right before a rival faction attacks the base.
At the same time, Violet takes to the tunnels and finds herself face to face with a ghost who tells her that she now has Walter’s gift for seeing spirits. The ghost tells her about herself while leading her to a horde of weapons and a way out of the tunnels. As she finds an escape, she stays determined to find her father.
The Story: Harms brings this story arc to a satisfactory conclusion with action, thrills and mystery. I really like where this story leaves both characters at the end with Violet discovering new powers and what those will mean for her going forward and David dealing with the reality of his capture and his determination to escape. I cannot wait to see where this story goes in the next arc.
The Art: Mavinga creates some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I really love the action scenes as well as the moments between Violet and the ghost.
