The Rundown: Loli goes looking for answers as the creature continues to stalk the construction site.

Hunt is at the hospital to see the body of one of the victims of the attack and discovers that there is something strange with the body. Loli calls her friend Blanca who tells her of the local legends in the area. After revealing that she saw the creature, Blanca takes her to get some tea while Hunt tasks his men with finding the creature and killing it before it stops their construction.

Loli talks to the owner of the shop and she offers to give them a reading. A reading that will reveal what she saw and what it wants. As Hunt and his men continue to hunt for the creature, Loli returns to the construction site and discovers a cave near the area that is not empty when she arrives.

The Story: Anta continues to craft an interesting, entertaining mystery in this issue. It does a great job of following up on the plot points and tension of the first issue and the story delves into local lore and legend in a way that makes it more compelling to the reader. I like the contrast between Loli’s story and Hunt’s and how the creature is stuck between them. The end of the issue creates some great tension before it has a final reveal that makes me interested in seeing what happens next.

The Art: Irizarri creates some beautifully detailed and visually dynamic art throughout the issue. I really like the character and creature designs.
