Letters by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou

The Rundown: Thomas and Tabby are trapped in an increasingly dangerous situation.

Thomas decides to call the company to report his findings and that he found their missing man while Tabby’s gramma roams the woods outside her home until she finds herself with the creature that has been stalking the grounds. Thomas and Tabby take a moment to regroup, but the power goes out plunging them into increasing darkness.

After finding an increasingly agitated oil worker still in the bed upstairs, Thomas attempts to restore power while Tabby goes hunting for her grandmother. Tabby gets attacked by the woman who she is unable to reason with and Thomas discovers a terrifying creature in the house. A creature he also discovers might have a weakness.

The Story: Condon and Ehrich create some great suspense throughout this issue. There are some great moments between the characters as you get to know more about Tabby, but the looming danger the pair are in continues to seep into every moment and reveal and I appreciate the story keeping the tension high.

The Art: Adlard crafts some impressive visuals throughout the issue. I really love how dark the imagery is and how haunting so many of the visual moments are.
