The Rundown: In the wake of a devastating loss, the family must decide what to do next.

After tricking his sister Raina into allowing his family to live, Roland disappears as the suit he and Raina were in falls back to Earth. Physically injured and unable to remember anything, Raina awakens and is taken in by the family as they search for what might have happened to Roland.

At a local diner, the family gives Raina a partial story, but keep her in the dark about the dark things she’s done as they try to figure out what to do next. At the same time, two agents are on the scene collecting evidence from the crash as well as taking care of any witnesses to the movements of the Rocketfeller family.

The Story: Tomasi creates an intense and engaging story in this issue. The drama is intense and there are some great moments with the characters as they navigate the loss of Roland and that mystery has my attention. I really like the investigators and look forward to seeing more of them. I really like the dark turn the story is taking with the family having to deal with their loss and with Raina among them. It creates some great drama and tension that I really enjoyed.

The Art: Manapul’s art is beautifully detailed and visually exciting. I love the visual style and how the art enhances and captures the tone and mood of the story.
