The Rundown: Bruce calls in a favor to possibly heal a friend.

Bruce returns to work and is helping to demolish the stadium site he helped to destroy in his battle with Bane. After, he decides to pay a visit to Harvey and Oswald and gets an earful from them about how he failed them. Determined to find a way to help one of his friends, Waylon, he travels to the museum and calls on Diana who takes him to a part of the underworld where he might find a solution.

As Waylon’s condition continues to deteriorate, Bruce and Diana trek through the land and learn more about each other before she gives him the opportunity to speak to his dead father. The next day, they take on a creature that could hold the key to helping Waylon once and for all.

The Story: Snyder creates a more personal story for Bruce in this issue and I really connected with the character and his journey. There are some great personal moments for the character as he is confronted with the consequences of his actions, deals with his own inability to solve a problem and confronts his own past in his journey. I loved the interactions between Bruce and Diana and the dynamic between them is great. I like the self-contained nature of the story and look forward to seeing what happens next.

The Art: Dragotta creates some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. The visual style is amazing and the action is thrilling.
