The Rundown: Milton looks for a means of escape in order to complete his mission.

A group of soldiers and their colonel make their way through the town discussing the destruction all around them until they come upon the bakery that Milton has been hiding in. After threatening the baker and bringing up his wife, they leave. Milton apologizes and leaves in order to make his way to the gun.

Making his way to the outskirts of the facility, he notes the heavily fortified location and how impossible it will be for him to go in alone. Thinking of possible solutions, he formulates a plan that just might get him inside.

The Story: Remender crafts a dark, suspenseful story in this issue. There is great tension throughout the story, especially in the beginning of the story with the colonel and the baker. It reminded me of the first few minutes of Inglorious Basterds. I really enjoyed the tension and suspense throughout the story and how dark Milton is getting in his mind as he comes to terms with his situation and what he’s sacrificed.

The Art: Acuna delivers beautifully intense and detailed art throughout the issue.
