The Rundown: Diana travels to Gotham in need of a detective to help with a mystery.

Cale is working with someone on a plan that will bring their adversaries together in the same place as Diana makes her way to Gotham to meet with the mysterious Batman regarding a series of murders with a connection to Hecate. Diana manages to charm the grim protector of the city into helping her and the two make their way to one of the crime scenes.
After discovering clues to their investigation, Batman tells Diana that there is a church nearby that might be connected. When the two arrive and see lights on, they spring into action and discovery a ceremony taking place. A ceremony that will lead to Diana being possessed and looking to kill Batman.
The Story: Thompson crafts an entertaining and engaging story in this issue. I really love the way Diana engages with Bruce on his territory and how she is able to connect with him on a level that makes her more endearing to the reader. I love that the stakes are rising and the threats are becoming more intertwined as both Bruce and Diana deal with powerful, unseen forces targeting them. I really enjoyed this issue a lot and cannot wait for more interactions with these characters.
The Art: Sherman delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of this story and how it crafts both Gotham and Batman in Diana’s world.
