The Rundown: Batman and Superman have to find a way to fight a combined Lex Luthor and Joker.

Hawkman is looking for Superman and Batman after the absorbacron is stolen and there is a mysterious explosion on the other side of the city. At the same time, Joker/Luthor discover that they can use the device to not only learn everything about everyone, they can also project their will into other minds. Something Joker does to make others see the world the way he does.
Green Lantern arrives at the scene and uses his ring to combine Clark and Bruce into a similar being and they use their combined powers and skills to stop the attacks before locating Joker/Luthor. Unfortunately, their battle takes some unexpected turns and the villains also seize the opportunity to not only learn the truth about their foes, but also to expose their identities to everyone they know.
The Story: Waid continues to create some fun, enjoyable and exciting stories in this series. I love the way this issue raises the stakes for both characters and how entertaining those stakes are. The story takes some big swings and those swings pay off with a story filled with intense action, thrills and great character moments that make me excited to see what happens next after the devastating and interesting cliffhanger reveal.
The Art: Gutierrez crafts some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art that perfectly captures the tone, fun and thrills of the story.
