The Rundown: Batman and his new allies learn more about Krypton before facing off against a new threat.

Aboard his airship, Batman, the Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and the Kryptonian learn more about Krypton from the Martian survivor of the former world’s thirst for conquest. As he relays the story to the rest of the group, he reveals that the Kryptonians were not an age of the Earth, but a world itself whose thirst for power led them to slaughter his people on Mars.

After learning the truth, the team sees the town being attacked by a mechanized train piloted by Lex Luthor who wants the kryptonite core for himself. As they fight to bring down the mech, Lex manages to get his hands on the device and disappear. At the same time, Ras and the League of Shadows free Constantine to escape their fortress which was designed to hold back someone more dangerous than the world could imagine.

The Story: Diggle crafts a thrilling, entertaining story in this issue. I love this world and how unique and different it is. The story takes some amazing twists and turns throughout the issue and every revelation adds new layers to the world and grabbed my attention. I love the buildup of suspense throughout the story and the reveal at the end definitely got my attention.

The Art: Fernandez delivers stunning art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of this issue and how perfectly it captures this world.
