At the end of the Man of Steel event, the director revealed that there is a “Snyder Cut” of the 2017 Justice League film. He also revealed that the cut will be released to fans on the upcoming HBO Max streaming service in 2021. Snyder released a statement saying; “It will be an entirely new thing, and, especially talking to those who have seen the released movie, a new experience apart from that movie.”

It is unclear what form the cut will take. Will the almost five hour film be released intact or will it be broken into chapters? Snyder and his wife are gathering members of the original production team to cut, score and finish effects for the new version. The new version will also include bringing back the actors from the film to record new dialogue.

The proposed cost to finish Snyder’s version could be between $20 and $30 million. Neither Snyder nor Warner Brothers had a comment about the cost.
