The Rundown: The team finds themselves facing off against another team of mutants calling themselves the X-Men.

Cyclops and his team find themselves staring down a new team of mutants sponsored by 3K and they are calling themselves the X-Men. Fueled by their hatred for the team and believing that they should carry the mantle for a new world, they attack. As the battle rages, Cassandra Nova convinces the newly emerged twin to attack the local town the X-Men call home as Magneto receives an injection that could potentially help him with his powers.
Cyclops and his team find themselves in a tough battle against a group who seem to know their tactics and is using them to make things potentially deadly for Scott’s team. With time running out for the town, Magneto will take on the rampaging monster with a symbol of what he hates the most.
The Story: MacKay crafts a thrilling, brutal adventure in this issue. I like the suspense and action in this story a lot. There were some brutal moments and I enjoyed seeing Scott and his team on their heels for parts of the battle. This issue is just a knock down drag out brawl and I am here for it. It’s going to be interesting to see where this story goes next and what this battle means for the X-Men and their relationship with the town.
The Art: Diaz delivers visually thrilling art throughout the issue. I love the visuals and the brutality of the fight scenes. Everything looks amazing on the page.
