The Rundown: Diana finds herself in a world of battle and celebration. A world that might be more dangerous than she imagined.

Diana is plunged into battle in a strange land and a handsome stranger is more than willing to help her before she is killed. When she awakens, she learns from her new friend Siegfried that she has emerged in Asgard and is one of the hundreds of warriors who live, laugh, fight and die nightly. As she gets used to her new surroundings, she starts to lose memories of who she is and why she’s there until an unexpected visitor tries to remind her of who she is.

Another story features a young Diana celebrating her birthday on Themyscira by challenging herself to climb the highest point on the island. After a harrowing adventure through town with her friend, Diana winds up at her party where she has questions for her mother about what her future holds.

The Story: Both stories have great themes and narratives throughout. The first story sets up a great arc for Diana with the Nordic theme and mythology. The second offers a great coming of age story with Diana exploring her spirit of adventure and looking ahead.

The Art: Travis Moore delivers some great visuals throughout this issue. There are awesome action scenes and details throughout. Paulina Ganucheau crafts some beautiful panels full of light and energy.
